Aleena's Marvellous medicine

Sleep Tight

WALT:Describe Sleep
We are going to describe what happens when people sleep.
Dreaming
Dreams prove that your brain keeps working while you sleeping.

How Much Sleep
Babies sleep 16 hours a day adults sleep 7 or 8  people get older they need less sleep.
Adults need less sleep than babies because babies need significantly more sleep than adults to support their rapid mental and physical development children often act as if they’re not tired, resisting bedtime and becoming hyper as the evening goes on all this can happen because the child is overtired.

Body’s Physical Changes
Your heart slows down, you breathe more slowly and your mouth stops making saliva.
Your heart slows down when you sleep because whenever you are sleeping your oxygen levels are lower and your carbon dioxide levels are higher because your level of breathing goes slightly down.

What People Can Be Seen Doing in their Sleep
Some people suck their thumbs, talk, pull faces or grind their teeth people also peddle their legs or walk in their sleep.

I have learned that
Whenever you are sleeping your oxygen levels are lower and your carbon dioxide levels are higher because your level breathing goes slightly down.

Year 4 camping

Dear Mrs Ritchie I am writing to express my opinion about why year 4’s should also go to camp. I know that year 4’s are young to go camping however I believe Year 4’s would benefit from learning about kayaking as it will teach us water safety and also growth mindset of never giving up. If year 4’s get to go camping it will teach us skills like teamwork, leadership and also knot tying through activities like raft building. Furthermore If year 4’s can go camping it can teach us archery which will develop aim for sports like dodgeball. As you can see from the reasons above Year 4’s should go camping. Please consider these ideas carefully and I look forward to hearing back from you Your sincerely Aleena Room 10
